DFW Gujrati Samaj Celebrated the Makarsankrant -  "Ponk" Party, on saturday February 6th 2010 at DFW Cultural center. A Free event for all the DFW Gujrati Samaj members & Sponsors. RSPV was required to attend this event. There was such an overwhelming response to the organizers that they had to stop getting the RSPV from the people & also constantly mentioning that on radio that they are already full capacity & no new people are requested to come. Indeed it was full capacity with so many people had to go out of the cultural hall in that cold to create space for the newer guests.

After initial entry, the guests were directly lead to a very special  dinner and Chach (yogurt mix with very special masala). I don't all the food item names that were placed in the plate, according to some people who spoke to me mentioned that some items in the plate were available only during this period of month (Harvesting Period). This food has been brought specially for the people of DFW with this "Ponk" Party. Once all the Members, Guests & Sponsors had a hearty meal, a special movie was screened. People enjoyed the event & had a wonderful  begining new year.
